Membership Eligibility
Field Trip Friends welcomes homeschooling families in Florida who align with our mission and values. To join, families must be referred by a current member or approved after attending an open house field trip. Membership is required to participate in all field trips and events organized by our nonprofit.

Membership Fees
$75/ year
- Includes benefits for one homeschooling family (parents/grandparents/guardians and their children). See benefits below.
Membership fees are non-refundable and cover a 12-month period starting on the date of payment.

Members of Field Trip Friends Inc enjoy the following benefits:
- Access to exclusive educational field trips organized throughout the year.
- Discounts on field trip registration fees (when applicable).
- Member portal on www.floridaftf.com to research, book and track field trips as well as an online community forum to share homeschooling tips and resources.
-Special behind-the-scenes tours or hands-on activities available only to your group.
-Curated educational resources, such as printable worksheets, lesson plans, or activity guides tailored to field trip destinations (when applicable).
-Simplified event registration and reminders for upcoming activities.
-Seasonal parties, picnics, or holiday celebrations for families to bond
-Opportunities for families to volunteer and give back to the community through group initiatives.
-Members have the opportunity to volunteer at our fundraising events, gaining valuable hands-on experience, while also developing their public speaking skills through engaging interactions with the community.

-Referral Program
-Monthly Raffles for the kids for their Post Field Trip Reflection Submissions.
-Personalized planning for unique interests within the group (e.g., STEM-focused trips, arts and culture days, nature excursions).
-Surveys to involve members in decision-making about future trips or activities.
Application Process
1. Complete the membership application located at the bottom of this page.
2. Membership applications are reviewed and approved by the board or a designated committee.
3. Approved applicants will receive:

Welcome email/text with the FTF waiver and membership fee payment request.

Renewal and Termination
​
1. Renewal:
Membership renewals are annual. Renewal reminders will be sent 30 days before the membership expiration date.

2. Termination:
Membership may be terminated if:
- A member fails to renew their membership fee by the due date.
- A member violates the policies or code of conduct of the organization.

Membership Responsibilities
​
By joining, members agree to:
- Support the mission and goals of the nonprofit.
- Follow all policies and guidelines established for field trips and events.
- Treat other members, volunteers, and partners with respect.

Refund Policy
Membership fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances as determined by the board of directors.

Amendments to Policy
This membership policy may be amended by the board of directors. Members will be notified of any changes in writing at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
